Kangaroos and Crocodiles and Wallabies, Oh My!



You know I love a great zoo. And the Taronga Zoo did not disappoint. This day was fun from the very start. After a beautiful ferry ride across Sydney Harbor, we took a cable car to the top level of the zoo and our entrance to the exhibits.


One of the first areas we came to was the Australian walkabout. It was wonderful to see all of the indigenous animals in one place.
















We relaxed over a lovely lunch and were joined by a friend.




Next up we had a great time watching the gorillas. They have quite a large group who are all very photogenic.










Next up was the sea lion show.






And then the elephants.




Then it was deeper into the jungle.








The mountain goat exhibit was fun.



As was the chimpanzee exhibit.




Shayne and I have always had an affinity for the giraffe. Taronga had a wonderful family to observe.






The reptile house was up next.










Throughout the entire zoo there were great views of the city.


On the way to the exit we met a few feathered friends.





With tired feet and smiles on our faces we headed off to the ferry dock as we said our goodbyes to the …
