Hong Kong Revisited

The week between Christmas and New Years was a great time to show Shayne some of the spots we have discovered since her visit 18 months ago. There is so much here to see and do. We chose some of our favorites that have been blogged about before. So the short version of the week included Na Lian Gardens.

We toured Sik Sik Temple where Shayne posed with her Chinese Zodiac rabbit.

And Ken and I are both from the year of the ox.

We stopped by the zoo and botanical gardens.

One of my favorite spots is the 10,000 Buddhas Monastery in Sha Tin. It is a beautiful place to visit, but the 500 steps up and the 500 steps down also make it great exercise.

The Dr. Sun Yat Sen Museum is just around the corner from our flat and housed in a beautiful colonial era home that has been fully restored.

New Year's Eve came and we watched the fireworks from the rooftop of our building. What a wonderful way to end the year and begin 2013.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
