Go Lions!

Back in August, before the football season started, Shayne had a brilliant idea. The Lions were playing on Christmas Eve in Detroit. Since we had not been to a game at the new Ford Field, this seemed like a good plan. Once the season started and the Lions started winning it became a great plan.

So we purchased our matching shirts, invited a few friends to join us and set off for our football extravaganza. The weather gods were with us and the trip over was quite pleasant. Shayne, Ken and I met up with Michael D. in Novi and then joined our old neighbors Rose and Bryan for lunch. Kyle and Johnny met up with us at the restaurant after doing their Trader Joe's run. Ken's brother Bob went down early and spent some time in the casino in Greek Town. We all met up at our seats and were in for a real treat.

Ford Field is a great venue and the game was everything we could have asked for with the Lions winning 38 - 10.

It was not our usual Christmas Eve, but it was a great one.
